Gas Phase Filtration

CamCarb Green | MFG: Camfil Farr

Camfil Farr CamCarb Green cylinder sorbent systems are recommended for high gas/vapor load make-up air and recirculation applications, where high removal efficiency and a large quantity of sorbent media are required.

Applications include:

• Commercial buildings, for photocopiers, printing and cleaning materials
• Light manufacturing processes including printing, pharmaceutical processing and degreasing
• Laboratory operations and products
• Protecting sensitive museum contents such as art, fabric, sculpture, relics, etc.
• Government document archives. CamCarb Green cylinders are excellent for the removal of ozone (O3), automobile fumes and diesel engine exhaust (SOX, NOX, H2S, VOCs), jet engine fumes in airports (SOX, NOX, H2S, VOCs) and light levels of industrial emissions (acid gases, NH3, solvents).

CamSorb CH | MFG: Camfil Farr

The Camsorb CH Loose-Fill V-Cell Cartridge is recommended for reduction of modest occupancy odor loads, peak-shaving* of ambient air pollutants, and continuous control of low-level gaseous contaminants in make-up and air recirculation applications.

The Camsorb CH Loose-Fill V-Cell Cartridge may be installed in any HVAC application where the use of outside air for contaminant dilution is burdensome and cost prohibitive to the building operator. Use of the Camsorb CH Loose-Fill V-Cell cartridge for contaminant adsorption and removal allows for minimal introduction and conditioning of outside air, thereby significantly reducing energy costs associated with heating and cooling of required make-up air where a sorbent filter is not applied. This method for contaminant removal is specifically prescribed in the ASHRAE Standard 62, Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality.

CamSorb Pleated V-Cell | MFG: Camfil Farr

Improve indoor air quality and reduce building energy costs by controlling dust, pollution and odors with a single filter.

The Camsorb Pleated V-Cell Cartridge Filter is designed to fit in place of existing 12” deep filters within an air-handler. Use of the Camsorb Pleated V-Cell Particulate + Carbon Cartridge Filter for dust, pollution and odor control. The filter also allows make-up air intake flow to be lowered, thereby significantly reducing operating costs associated with the energy purchased for heating and cooling that make-up air. This method for contaminant removal is specifically prescribed in ASHRAE Standard 62 - Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality.

The Camsorb Pleated V-Cell Cartridge high efficiency particulate (MERV 15) plus carbon adsorber filter is recommended for control of indoor and ambient airborne pollution and odors in offices, shops, sports halls, concert halls, hotels, banks, and schools.

CamSorb CF Carbon Panels | MFG: Camfil Farr

The industry standard for practical odor control, Camfil Farr 1-inch polystyrene panels (formerly known as Farr CF panels) were the first high-velocity ‘straight through’ carbon purification filters available. Recommended for high gas/ vapor load make-up air and recirculation applications, where high removal efficiency and a large quantity of sorbent media is required. Applications include:
Treat make-up air for buildings containing objectionable levels of:
• Ozone (O3) from outdoor air (smog)
• Automobile fumes and bus and truck diesel engine exhaust (SOX, H2S, VOCs)
• Jet fumes in airports (SOX, H2S, VOCs)
• Medivac helicopter exhaust in hospitals
• Light levels of industrial emissions (acid gases, NH3, solvents)
• Kitchen odors from nearby restaurants
• Eliminate objectionable odors and emissions from recirculated or exhaust air
• Protect sensitive objects from harmful air pollutants:
• Sensitive museum, library or archival storage (art, fabric, documents, sculpture, relics)
• Reduce building operating cost:
• Permits the recirculation (all or part) of ventilating air, reducing heating cost in the winter and cooling costs in the summer

Polysorb | MFG: Columbus

Polysorb Carbon Media

Columbus Industries engineers, manufactures, distributes and markets activated carbon products for a variety of uses worldwide. The high quality activated carbon used in POLYSORB is one of the most naturally porous structures known – one cubic foot provides approximately 200 million square feet of surface area! This gives POLYSORB tremendous adsorptive capacity and allows it to function as an extremely efficient net which snares and traps odors and impurities within its vast network of microscopic channels.

Using a high quality activated carbon is only half of the solution. To have a product that completely meets your demands requiresthe ability to manufacture and supply POLYSORB in many different forms. We developed the technology which enables us to impregnate various substrates and apply different coatings in a number of standard impregnation densities. Furthermore, we can create a POLYSORB pouch out of impregnated or non-impregnated substrates which can hold granular activated carbon or zeolite.

POLYSORB activated carbon filters use a durable non-woven polyester or open-cell foam base. This combination of high quality activated carbon and base filtering media affords odor and particulate trapping arrestance. This combination further provides minimal resistance to airflow at various impregnation densities and filter thicknesses.

Activated Carbon | MFG: Filter Sales and Service

Activated Carbon ~ NCB is granular activated carbon, especially designed for vapor and liquid application. Mad from selected coconut shell, NCB is also characterized by its superior hardness, low ash content, which are two important factors for the carbon application. Aside from general application, the NCB is also very effective in solvent recovery application. ~ To choose a suitable mesh size, type NCB can also be used for precious metal retrieving and as a catalyst carrier in vinyl acetate synthesis on fluid bed.
